For November, Sage Sister's Art and Rev. Nadine are offering a class titled: "Creating a Coiled Basket Soothes My Soul"
Cultures around the world have found ways to create baskets using materials that are available. These are especially needed fin Fall for collecting what needs to be gathered for Winter. In India, coiled Kaisa grass is wrapped in recycled sari fabric, in mountain areas where pine trees grow. Pine needles are wrapped with natural materials or yarn. In Uganda, hand-dyed raffia is used to create baskets to earn a living and economic independence.

"Celebrate the Fall Harvest - Guided Meditation"
Now that it is fall, the earth invites you to slow down and gather your harvest. This means taking time to appreciate what you have accomplished this year and the difference that you make. Also, to acknowledge how you have grown, for you are a different person than you were in January. You have released old patterns and grown into new qualities of being. It is a good time to give thanks for all Spirit has brought to you. We do this sharing together, harnessing the power of community.
We will start with prayer/ritual of the 6 directions to connect with Spirit. We will engage the power of drumming to connect as a community and open our intuitive channels, to hear Spirit’s voice.
Bring your drums, rattles and flutes; as well as an artifact for the altar that represents your growth or what you want to embody (or whatever you are moved to bring).
