A Dream Come True — The Story of For Heaven's Sake

Long before For Heaven's Sake became a brick-and-mortar reality, it was already alive in my imagination, my heart, and my soul.

I dreamed of creating a place where people could explore their spirituality, discover meaningful treasures, and connect with others on their own journeys of personal growth and healing. I studied business plans and carefully developed one of my own. Display fixtures filled my living room, inventory covered my dining room table, and the vision of For Heaven's Sake occupied my thoughts day and night.

On June 20, 2000, that dream became a reality when I opened the doors to our independent, minority woman-owned metaphysical bookstore. I could never have imagined just how deeply our community would embrace us, or how beautifully that original vision would unfold.

For more than 25 years, For Heaven's Sake has been honored to serve the Denver community, first in the Northwest Denver/Berkeley Park neighborhood and now at our beautiful Applewood location in Lakewood. As we've grown and evolved, so has our vision. Today, we've brought our community together under one roof, creating a welcoming space where our metaphysical bookstore, healing services, spiritual teachings, and community gatherings can flourish together.

Our Applewood Store & Healing Center is so much more than a place to shop. It is a gathering place for kindred spirits, seekers, healers, and teachers. We are especially blessed to work with gifted practitioners and instructors who collectively bring more than 100 years of experience across a wide range of spiritual and healing traditions.

These dedicated teachers and healers are truly at the heart of who we are. Through tarot and pendulum classes, dowsing, psychic mediumship galleries, healing workshops, and many other offerings, they generously share their knowledge and gifts to inspire self-discovery, spiritual healing, and transformational growth.

Watching this community gathering space blossom has been one of the greatest joys of my journey.

We treasure the relationships we've built, the stories we've shared, and the privilege of being part of your spiritual journeys. What began as a dream in my living room has grown into something far more meaningful than I ever imagined.
