June is Pride month, a time to celebrate diversity, and as June melts into July many people might find their support waning. Here are a few crystals to help as you navigate your true identity.
Self-acceptance
Chrysoprase: This lovely green/blue crystal instills a loving state of grace within the users. It provides both non-judgmental attitudes and actions, acceptance of others and acceptance of self, writes Melody in “Love is in the Earth.” It also helps one to “recognize the trinity in oneself. This crystal is also wonderful for the heart chakra and helps heal a broken heart.
Copper: Now this one is a surprise for me, as I use copper for its protective abilities. However, Melody tells us that copper can be used to combat several things including non-acceptance of oneself. “It conveys the messages … to seek and release all the restrictions which one has installed within the self,” Melody writes. And since copper opens the base and sacral chakras it can help with sexuality issues.
Lapis Lazuli: One of my favorite crystals can help overcome depression and enhances serenity and self-acceptance, Melody notes. And when used with Rutilated Topaz it can help shield and build your aura. Here’s a fun note that Melody relates: Legend has it that King Solomon was assisted by an angel of the Lord who gave him a special ring of Lapis, which allowed him to controls the legions of demons with who he built the temple. Thus, it is good for protection from physical danger and psychic attacks.
Clear Quartz: By placing this Master Crystal on the heart or third eye chakra when meditating can help clear emotional disturbances from one's being, enhancing self-acceptance and self-love, Melody writes.
Protection
Black Tourmaline: One of the best-known crystals for protection since it can repel and protect against negativity. Melody writes that it can protect one from being victimized by the negative energy of others. It also helps to deflect exposure to excessive amounts of radiation.
Fire Agate: This rare agate helps to dispel fears an provides a protective shield that “reflects all threat of harm back to the source such that the source may personally understand the act,” notes Melody. It also helps to encourage one to be their best selves.
Turritella Agate: Check out this agate that has fossils of sea creatures and snail patterns in it. It is a protective stone that also heals the Earth.
Ametrine: Ohhh, I love this crystal, which is a mix of Citrine and Amethyst. It possesses the properties of both Citrine and Amethyst. It disperses negativity from the aura and fills the voids with pure light. Wow, how wonderful is that! It also releases the programming of negative emotions by clearing emotional blockages.
