Reiki is a natural, easy-to-use, and self-contained form of healing. It works on all levels, being effective for stress-reduction, boosting immunity, & healing physical, mental, and emotional imbalances. Reiki is energetically protective and is a powerful tool to clear old, unhealthy attitudes and behaviors so you might open to your greater potential.
Little did I know the day I pulled that flyer off a bulletin board just how much one brief class would impact my life! In 1986, I took my first Reiki class and by 1990 I had done in-depth advance training and now taught my own Reiki classes. Weekly clients and monthly classes followed for over 30 years . . . and I now have more stories than a proud grandma with a photo album!
Reiki is a simple to learn, practical yet profound self-healing practice that can be used to support your own and others for healing on all levels: physically, mentally, emotionally, and energetically. Reiki can be used to treat headaches and the common cold as well as to support healing through very serious imbalances. The list is long of physical ailments that have been helped or shown improvement with Reiki.
I've observed many times as Reiki helped to shift what appeared to be dire situations and brought peace to anxiety-ridden individuals. I've witnessed Reiki healing rifts between family members that had gone on for years. I watched as one family on the brink of bankruptcy created financial stability and even thrived - with the help of Reiki.
A be-all-end-all? Not really. But there aren't many things Reiki can't help with the impetus to move in a positive direction. I honestly believe all healing is self-healing and Reiki can be that extra boost to activate your own natural healing capacity. Reiki is not a replacement for medical or psychiatric treatment but works in conjunction with traditional and alternative practices. And Reiki can feel very comforting and nurturing to the receiver and giver alike.
Reiki is a method that is both simple and direct in its amplification of KI, or Universal Life Force Energy. Reiki requires no thought or belief system to activate it, but rather is a self-directed movement of powerful, yet subtle, energy through one’s hands. It can be utilized as a self-help technique for preventive health maintenance, stress management, relief of tension and pain, and to promote specific healing. The Essence of Reiki is the Life Force itself, and when utilized consistently, can help develop wholeness, well-being, and personal growth. No special background, training, or knowledge is required to learn Reiki: only a desire to be a pure, healing channel.
