  • What Is It Like In Heaven?

Medium Heather HunterOur dear friend and psychic medium Heather Hunter, who is lovingly called "America's phone line to Heaven," answered this question recently on her website and we wanted to share it with you! We hope you enjoy her insight into Heaven, and be sure to see her upcoming For Heaven's Sake Lakewood event details at the bottom of this post.

    What's It Like In Heaven?

If I had a dollar for every time I have been asked that question...I'd have a fortune by now!

So what's the answer? Well, it depends.

It truly seems to depend on who (in Heaven) you ask!  I once began to bring through a deceased husband for his wife.  It was only a few minutes into our session and I had just described this man's appearance and manner of passing when she blurted out, "What's he doing over there?" Her husband showed me a very large, crystal clear lake with water so calm it was smooth as glass. The surface of the water perfectly reflected the blue sky with a few white fluffy clouds.  In the very middle of this giant serene lake he showed himself in a small boat, fishing.  As soon as I shared this image with his wife he showed me a new scene.  In this next scene he was in the middle of an enormous  golf course of the brightest green. His wife was a bit incredulous.  She shared that fishing (especially alone) and golfing were absolutely two of her husband's favorite things to do while he was here on Earth.

At this point you may be wondering if we can actually fish and golf in Heaven?  My answer would be that it seems we certainly can.  Or, we can at least create the experience of fishing and golfing.  I've also been shown diabetics enjoying their favorite meals and sweets, and those who were athletic participating in their favorite sports.  It could be that they wish to share images of themselves doing their favorite earthly things to simply let their living loved ones know they are happy.  I have also been shown we go on to learn, and possibly have "jobs" of sorts.  For those who had significant mental or physical health issues while here in the physical I have sometimes seen healing taking place in a pleasant environment that appears to be a cross between a spa and a hospital or recovery center.

The overall impression I get from the spirits is that the colors, the music, the nature, and even the experiences on the other side are so much more profound and magnificent than here on Earth.  It's as if Earth life is like the first black and white part of The Wizard of Oz movie, with crossing over being comparable to Dorothy stepping out of her misplaced Kansas home into the wonderful world of Oz--surreal and brightly colored.

I will be sharing more on this subject and covering many more questions about the spirit world and our ongoing connections with our passed loved ones in an upcoming book.  My hope is to have it available for purchase within a year or sooner, and those of you on my email list will be among the first to have the opportunity to read it. • Choosing a Tarot Deck That’s Right for You

Tarot DeckWe live in world of options. Unlike the good old days when television only received 3 networks and ice cream was only available in 2 flavors, we are now given the chance to choose from a variety of options. For instance, some ice cream parlors offer more than 30 flavors. We also get to choose from about 200 channels. Today, the same can also be said about tarot cards.

Metaphysical shops usually carry more than a dozen decks of tarot cards. While this gives consumers the freedom to choose, it usually creates confusion. This is especially true for those who are considering getting their first deck of tarot cards.

So how do you choose a tarot deck that’s right for you? Here are some tips.

    Consider your experience level

If you are new to tarot, we suggest that you start with the Rider Waite. It is one of the easiest decks to work with. The images are straightforward and it’s easy to understand. Plus, you won’t have a hard time finding books and information for this deck.

    Explore the imagery

Do you prefer classic, traditional, medieval style imagery? Or do you want to go with more modern decks? Go through the cards and take a good look at each of them. Are you drawn to the images? It has to be pleasing to the eye and suit your personality. Never pick a card that strikes you as boring, unpleasant or odd.

    Look for a connection

Your friend may have recommended the Rider Waite, but if you don’t feel a connection with the card, then it’s not the right one for you. Find a deck that speaks to you. If a certain deck calls out to you, go with that one.

Since you’ll be spending a lot of time with your cards, choose a deck that makes you feel comfortable and secure.

    Consider the quality

If you are planning to use the card on a regular basis, we advise that you invest on a deck that is of good quality. This way, you can ensure that you can continue using them in the future without getting damaged or tearing easily.

  • How to Become A Good Tarot Card Reader

Tarot ReadingThe world of tarot is magical and exciting. It helps us understand what is going on in our lives and find spiritual meaning in our life. It is also a fun and revealing activity to add to your life.

You don’t have to be a psychic to read tarot cards. Use these tips to help you get started on your path towards tarot card reading.

    Keep it simple

When trying to learn how to read tarot cards, you might be tempted to buy a bunch of books and decks and try to memorize the meaning of each card. But if you do, you may end up confused and overwhelmed.

Learning tarot reading doesn’t have to be an ordeal. In fact, it can fun and interesting if you keep it simple. Start with simple spreads, simple techniques, and simple meanings.

    Practice, practice, practice

When you are first learning to read tarot cards, make it a habit to draw one card a day. Take a look at the picture and notice your first impression and emotional reaction to the card. Then, look up the meaning in the book and compare it with your own impressions.

Read your cards daily, be it for yourself or for others. As you work with tarot cards on a regular basis, you will develop a personal connection with them.

    Read the picture

If you do not have an inherent sense of what the cards mean, take a look at the tarot card and ask yourself, what is the picture telling me? What is the atmosphere of the card? What is going on in the card? Simply describe the card, as if you’re describing it to another person. Use a lot of descriptive phrases and adjectives. Speak aloud, even if you’re just reading for yourself.

    Use your intuition

There is more to reading tarot cards than memorizing the meaning of each card. You also need to quiet your mind and use your intuition to interpret the card. Your instinct can provide you with important guidance in deciphering the messages of individual cards.

Take your time with these exercises and play around with these techniques. These exercises will allow you to engage with your tarot cards and gain a strong connection with them.
